Police Commemorate DUI Victims Today

Simi Valley police patrol units will be flying red ribbons and driving with their lights on today in commemoration of those who have been killed or injured by drivers under the influence.

Today’s “Lights on for Life” campaign is part of a nationwide effort to heighten awareness of the dangers of getting behind the wheel after drinking or taking drugs, said Simi Valley Police Chief Randy G. Adams.

The ribbons are to show support for Drunk and Driving Prevention Month sponsored by Mothers Against Drunk Driving.
