Driver Killed When Car Slams Into Utility Pole

SUN VALLEY — A man died when he drove his vehicle into a utility pole at the corner of Glenoaks Boulevard and Sheldon Street on Saturday night.
A witness told Los Angeles Police Department officers that the victim was driving west on Glenoaks just before 7 p.m. when his car crossed the opposite lane and struck a pole, killing him.
LAPD officials were investigating the cause of the accident Saturday night.
Coroner’s officials did not identify the man, pending notification of relatives. Officials said he appeared to be in his early 30s.
