Stabbing Leaves Man in Critical Condition

An 18-year-old Oxnard man was in critical condition at St. John’s Regional Medical Center on Sunday morning after being stabbed during a fight, authorities said.
Laurence Rodriguez got into a fight with Antonio Ortiz Barriga, 21, in the 1300 block of Saviers Road about 6 p.m. Saturday, police said. Police were called to the scene and Rodriguez was taken to the hospital.
Barriga fled before police arrived and was being sought on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon.
