Traffic Signal Approved at Deadly Intersection

With no opposition, the City Council this week unanimously approved a traffic signal at Commonwealth and Lillie avenues, where two people recently died while crossing the street.

The intersection marks the spot where an 8-year-old boy and a 62-year-old man were hit and killed by motorists in separate accidents. The signal will cost about $120,000 and will be installed in the next few months.
