Subdivision OKd With 187 Homes, Hiking Trails

Signal Hill has approved a 40-acre planned community, the largest residential subdivision in the city’s history.
The 187-home Bixby Ridge project will include a five-acre community park, hiking trails and open space.
“These are the first new single-family homes to be built in the Long Beach area in a number of years,” said Mayor Richard Ceccia. “We believe they will do extremely well.”
The project will include seven active oil wells, which will be fitted with low-profile pumping units.
