ICU Medical Inc.: The San Clemente maker of medical connectors said third-quarter net income gained 50% to $1.4 million, or 18 cents a share, from $964,000, or 11 cents a share, for the like period last year. Sales increased 28% to $7.7 million from $6 million. Net income for the first nine months advanced 5% to $4 million, or 50 cents a share, from $3.8 million, or 43 cents a share, for the first three quarters of 1996. Sales were up 20% to $21.7 million from $18.1 million.
