Nationwide Health Properties Inc.: The Newport Beach real estate investment trust, which invests in health care facilities, reported that first-quarter net income rose 22% to $18 million, or 42 cents a share, from $14.8 million, or 35 cents a share, for the like period last year. Included in the 1998 first quarter was a gain of $2.3 million from the sale of two facilities. Revenue was up 26% to $33.2 million from $26.3 million.
