Consumer Portfolio Will Sell Securities

Consumer Portfolio Services Inc., a lender for new and used cars, said it plans to sell $310 million of securities backed by auto loan payments in coming days. First Union Capital Markets will manage the sale for CPS, which issues loan-backed securities quarterly.

The Irvine-based company sold about $240 million in similar securities in July.
