Biopool Appoints New Distributor in France

Biopool International in Ventura has appointed InGen to act as distributor of its immunohematology products in France beginning Jan. 1.

Biopool’s previous French distributor, Organon Teknika France, has shifted its focus away from immunohematology products, said Michael D. Bick, Biopool chairman and chief executive officer.

“This [agreement with] InGen, along with the 19 new immunohematology product approvals Biopool has received during 1998 from the French regulatory agency, makes us very optimistic about gaining market share in France for these products in 1999,” Bick said.

Biopool manufactures test kits to assess and diagnose blood disorders.
