Children’s Hospital of Orange County’s fund-raising group, CHOC Padrinos, has named Los Angeles Dodgers outfielder/first baseman Matt Luke its Hero of the Heart for 1999. Luke, a native of Orange County, works with a number of children’s groups in Southern California, including Orange-based CHOC. He will be honored at the annual awards banquet June 3 at the Hyatt Regency Irvine. The award honors individuals who have given to the community. Ticket information: (714) 532-8690.
