* Liggett Group settled a tobacco liability lawsuit brought in the state of Florida by the daughter of a smoker who died last year of lung cancer. But the attorney pressing the suit said he will go forward against co-defendant Brown & Williamson, which did not intend to settle. A Liggett spokesman confirmed the settlement but would not disclose terms or comment further.
