BAX Global Bags S. Korea’s Borim Express

Moving to strengthen its Asia/Pacific business, air freight giant BAX Global Inc. said Tuesday it has acquired a controlling interest in its South Korean agent, Borim Express Ltd.
The new entity will be named BAX Global Korea Co. Ltd. after the deal takes effect later this month, according to Irvine-based BAX Global.
Borim Express, which is based in Seoul, has been BAX Global’s exclusive agent in South Korea since 1989 and is a major forwarder in the market.
