Pacific Biometrics Inc.: The Lake Forest diagnostics and laboratory services company reported a first-quarter net loss of $1.4 million, or 38 cents a share, compared with a net loss of $623,881, or 17 cents a share, a year ago. Revenue for the quarter ended Sept. 30 declined 52% to $306,954 from $638,347. The company attributed the lower revenue primarily to two laboratory contracts that lapsed during the first half of the previous year.
