* Boeing Co.’s newest airplane, the 100-seat 717-200, took off from Long Beach to begin months of flight tests in Yuma, Ariz. The first flight of the renamed jet, formerly the MD-95, is a key milestone for Boeing’s Long Beach Division, home of the 717 assembly line.
