Orange County Supervisor Todd Spitzer recently appointed Councilwoman Patricia Bortle to the Orange County Community Development Council. The private nonprofit group helps low-income families attain the skills and motivation to be self-sufficient. Bortle is the first Villa Park City Council member to serve on the group’s board of directors, made up of public officials, the poor and members of private organizations.
