Losing Cash Fast

“Some Better Ways to Stash Your Cash” (Gear & Gadgets,” March 7) was quite interesting. Some things don’t always work. I’m thinking of the so-called “fanny pack,” worn at the waist. A few years ago I took a train from Marseilles to Nice and wore such a pack. As I arranged my luggage at the end of the rail car, I was surrounded by some men. When I later got to my seat, the device was unzipped and my wallet with credit cards, etc., had been taken, presumably while I was distracted.
