If you’re planning to hire a professional moving company to help, the California Public Utilities Commission can provide important information about the mover.
To determine whether a mover is licensed and insured and whether the PUC has issued informal citations or taken formal legal actions against the mover, call (800) 366-4782.
Consumers may also call the number if they have a problem about a move within California that can’t be resolved with the mover.
