LAKE FOREST

The City Council will consider approving an outline for the city’s traffic signal coordination project Tuesday. Eighteen traffic signals on Rockfield Boulevard, Toledo Way and Jeronimo Road run on individual timing systems. At certain times, cars can hit red lights at every intersection along those roads, City Engineer Bob Woodings said.

“Traffic signals [on those stretches] aren’t communicating with each other to efficiently move the traffic,” Woodings said.

The City Council will meet at 7 p.m. Tuesday at Lake Forest City Hall, 23161 Lake Center Drive.
