The city will join the Orange County Visitor and Convention Bureau in sponsoring Coastal Cleanup Day on Sept. 18. The focus of the day is to clean up Orange County’s beaches, lakes, creeks and waterways. Organizers also hope to create an awareness about trash and the fact that wind and sewage systems bring trash from inland areas like Anaheim to the beaches. In Anaheim, volunteers will clean up the area around the Santa Ana River in Yorba Regional Park. Information: (949) 509-6684.
