Home Depot USA, which recently bought a 2-acre parcel at Camino Capistrano and Stonehill Drive, has applied to the city to stockpile 32,000 cubic yards of dirt on the property. Company officials said they will begin discussing plans to build a store only after the city’s general plan is updated. Residents of Capistrano Valley Mobile Estates opposed plans to build a Home Depot near their neighborhood in 1997.
