Guitar classes, sponsored by the city’s recreation department, begin Sept. 9. Anyone over 11 years old with a guitar is welcome to join the six-week program. Instructors will teach students how to read music and play both folk and pop chords. Classes will meet from 3:45 to 4:45 p.m. Thursdays. The total cost is $56.
