Postal Service to Extend Hours for the Holidays

LOS ANGELES — Facing an avalanche of holiday mail, the U.S. Postal Service on Friday announced expanded hours for post offices.
Offices will be open every day through Dec. 24, officials said. In addition to regular business hours, the offices will open 11 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on Sunday.
Officials anticipate that Dec. 20 will be the busiest mailing day of the year.
