It’s not as if City Hall will be open on all Fridays, but starting the week of Jan. 3, it will have a living, breathing human being to answer the phones on those Fridays when the rest of the city staff takes the day off.
The new customer service representative will work from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on alternate Fridays, providing general information about city-sponsored programs, taking water bill payments, applications and handing out permit and license forms.
