HUNTINGTON BEACH

The city will begin issuing $32 parking citations starting Monday to cars parked in the way of street sweepers.

Since November, the city has issued only warnings to remind people of new parking restrictions, which went into effect when the city switched to sweeping the streets twice a month instead of just once.

Signs are posted on each street informing drivers what day it is scheduled for sweeping.

For more information, call the city’s Infoline at (714) 374-4800, message 405, or check the city’s Web site at https://ci.huntington-beach.ca.us.
