Cooper Will Sell Hospital in Shutdown of Division

Irvine-based Cooper Cos. said Monday that it has agreed to sell MeadowWood hospital to Focus Healthcare, netting about $5 million in cash and trade receivables.

The hospital was part of the company’s hospital group, which has been discontinued. The group’s headquarters will be closed at the end of the month, eliminating about $1 million a year in costs, Cooper said.

The company makes specialty health care products.
