Maybe It’s Time for ‘Bigots Day’

* Marilyn Skinner complains that there are too many minor holidays cluttering up her calendar (Jan. 10 letter).

She suggests an all-encompassing Minorities Day called “Minnies Day” to honor minorities, foreigners, criminals and other undesirables.

This is a great idea but only solves half the problem. There is such a confusing array of major holidays. Couldn’t we consolidate these into a single day as well? We could call it “Bigots Day.”

Only two holidays: Minnies Day and Bigots Day. That would simplify things.
