B-2 in Combat

Your July 8 story on the combat debut of the B-2 admits that its stealth capabilities were not tested and are still unknown yet maintains the bomber can replace the low-flying cruise missile. This being an obvious contradiction, what we are left with is a plane that managed to carry out bombing missions while carrying less payload than the half-century-old B-52. And at a cost per plane equal to that of an entire aircraft carrier. Still sounds like a boondoggle to me.
