NEWPORT BEACH

City Manager Homer Bludau and other officials celebrated the implementation of the new Y2K-compliant development permits system Tuesday.

The software system was developed in a two-year project combining applications for use by several city departments. Approved by the City Council in 1996, the system will track and provide up-to-date information on the status of development projects that are in the review process, as well as provide historical data on private property development.
