The Los Alamitos Medical Center is holding a meeting at noon Thursday for people interested in becoming volunteer fund-raisers for its Cancer Support Foundation. The foundation needs help with such events as Casino Night and the Holiday Basket Raffle, which raise money for programs and services for cancer patients and their families.

The foundation offers cancer patients two support groups and free transportation to get treatment. It also has books, tapes and videos about cancer. The meeting will be in the hospital’s library, 3751 Katella Ave. Information: (562) 594-9977.
