LAGUNA NIGUEL

The Planning Commission this week opted not to recommend that the City Council change its fee structure for visitors who use athletic fields, because they’re so rarely used by visitors. Staff reports indicated that residents are responsible for about 94% of overall field use and that visitors pay lower fees to use parks in Laguna Niguel than they do in San Juan Capistrano. Laguna Niguel charges visitors $8 to $14 per hour, plus lighting fees, while San Juan Capistrano charges $30 to $40 per hour.
