We May Never Know How Good Filly Is

Trainer Bob Baffert should have waited for the actual quarter- and half-mile pace-setting fractions in the Preakness before deciding whether to make his brilliant filly, Silverbulletday, an official entry in the race. That way he could have scratched her if he wanted due to unfavorable fractions and receive another ridiculous excuse (poor post position, fillies running against colts, Pimlico’s banked turns, and moon tides) for not running arguably the country’s best horse in another Triple Crown race.
