* Re “A Schizophrenic State,” Opinion, May 23: I have studied schizophrenia and I have studied the state of Israel. You have the wrong diagnosis. It is multiple personality disorder.
I am curious, however, why you continue to use mental-illness terminology to be descriptive of non-mental-illness conditions. In this day and age, when major mental illnesses account for over 50% of worldwide disabilities, your inaccurate and inappropriate use not only confuses the public you serve but continues to reinforce the stigma against mental illness.
