Placentia’s American Legion Auxiliary Unit 277 will host a fund-raising breakfast from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at the American Legion Post, 230 S. Bradford Ave. More than 100 people, including war veterans, are expected to attend the event to raise money to help build a $60-million World War II memorial in Washington, D.C. Tickets are $8 per person. Donations to the memorial fund can be sent directly to American Legion Auxiliary Unit 277. Information: (714) 996-2190.
