MILLENNIUM COUNTDOWN

Tickets for the $1.3-billion Millennium Dome, a vast entertainment-museum attraction in Britain that will be open only one year--Dec. 31 to Dec. 31, 2000--are on sale in the U.S. through Globaltickets. The cost is $42 for adults, $36 for ages 5 to 15 and $39 ages 60 and over. The dome, about 15 minutes by subway from London’s central Waterloo station, is in the Greenwich borough, reference point for international time-keeping. The dome will feature a 200-performer show and 14 “zones” devoted to displays on Britain, the human body, the environment and other themes. Tickets must be ordered in advance.
