L.A. Times Archives

I have just returned from three days in Las Vegas and visited three of the largest new hotel/casinos and they were all jam-packed with people.

I cannot understand why the hotel owners in Las Vegas want to fight our Indian casinos in California when they already seem to have more business than they can handle. Do we call it greed?

I support Indian gaming in California and would much rather attend a casino in our state than make the 4 1/2-hour drive to Las Vegas!
