Weekend Box Office : No One Had a ‘Sixth Sense’ About This

“The Sixth Sense” grossed $29.3 million to become the highest-grossing film ever for a four-day Labor Day weekend. The record of $17.2 million had been held by “The Fugitive” since 1993. The Bruce Willis supernatural thriller has grossed more than $20 million for the fifth consecutive weekend, accomplishing what no other film has done except “Titanic.”

“Chill Factor” opened with a lackluster $5.8 million, and “Outside Providence” remained outside the top 10 with only $3.4 million.
