Fillmore 24, Village Christian 8--C.J. Hernandez had 116 yards in seven carries for host Fillmore (2-0).

Four Fillmore running backs combined for 219 yards.

Village Christian scored when quarterback Neil Gunn connected with Jared Cappachi on a 42-yard touchdown pass in the first quarter.

Hernandez also kicked a 40-yard field goal.
