Titans Fall at Big West Finals

UC Santa Barbara defeated Cal State Fullerton, 7-2, in the first round of the Big West Conference women’s tennis championships Wednesday at Ojai Valley Racquet Club.

Eleanor Luzano won her singles match, 6-4, 6-3, and the doubles team of Michelle Arndt and Laurel McLatcher won, 8-3, to record the only points of the match for the Titans.

UC Irvine, seeded first in the tournament, plays Long Beach State today in the second round. Eighth-seeded Long Beach State defeated Cal Poly San Luis Obispo, 5-4.
