The City Council this week solicited construction bids for adding more parking spaces at El Toro Park II on Jeronimo Road at the Aliso Creek Trail.
The 74 existing parking spaces are inadequate during peak hours, when as many as 100 more cars are forced to park in adjacent residential streets.
Proposals for the project are due at City Hall by Aug. 25.
