Man, 18, Arrested After Explosive Device Reported

An 18-year-old man was arrested after police found a homemade explosive device in his Canyon County home, authorities said Friday

Alexander Tater was booked on suspicion of possessing a destructive device, with bail set at $500,000, authorities said.

Sheriff’s investigators went to the man’s apartment after an anonymous call was received by 911 operators. Authorities found a plastic bottle with a wick attached, Sheriff’s Sgt. Russell Brown said.
