Mayor Alta Duke and Councilman Brian O’Neal have joined a newly formed committee that will review a request for funds by the Luther Elementary Parent Teacher Assn. The money would be used to replace playground equipment at the school.
The PTA, along with the Cypress School District and the Luther Student Council, has already donated more than $16,000 for the new equipment. The committee will meet in early September to discuss the funding.
