* Re “UC Treasurer Bows to Pressure, Quits Over Portfolio Flap,” Aug. 15: I’ve always been under the impression that UC regents are educated people. After reading of their approval for a $500,000 severance to an employee who “quits” her job, I think it’s time to verify their credentials.
