Mayor Alta Duke, along with other city and county officials, will celebrate the Kennedy High School band’s participation in the 2000 Olympic Games with a send-off celebration Thursday at the Kennedy High School parking lot.
The send-off will feature performances by the Kennedy cheerleaders, choir and spirit band. The event will begin at 5 p.m. at the high school, 8281 Walker St. Information: (562) 484-3424.
