RANCHO SANTA MARGARITA

The City Council on Thursday likely will approve franchise agreements that will allow the Southern California Gas Co., Southern California Edison and San Diego Gas & Electric to continue providing gas and electricity to residents and businesses in the city. Staff estimates that the city will begin receiving more than $182,000 in revenue from the franchise agreements in March and April of next year. The money will not be earmarked for a specific project and will go into the city’s general fund.
