The Treasure Island development has moved to the City Council for final review.

Monday, the Planning Commission and Design Review Board unanimously approved the tract map for the resort, passing it to the City Council for approval Feb. 15. The developer, the Phoenix-based Athens Group, wants to develop a 275-room hotel, 17 homes, 14 condominiums and two restaurants on the 30-acre site, at 30801 S. Coast Highway.
