GOP, Democratic Debates Planned by Times, CNN

All three Republican presidential candidates--George W. Bush, John McCain and Alan Keyes--have now committed to a March 2 debate sponsored by the Los Angeles Times and CNN.

The debate precedes the March 7 primary, and will follow a March 1 debate between Democratic candidates Bill Bradley and Al Gore.

Both debates will be held at The Times and will be broadcast live on CNN from 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. PST. The audience will include representatives of The Times and CNN, as well as a mix of government, business, civic, education and community representatives invited by the hosts. No additional seats are available to the public.
