Weighty Matters

Like Jack Smith (“Carry-on Crunch,” Letters, Dec. 12), I don’t mind fitting my carry-ons within size restrictions, but weight is another matter. My camera bag, while small, weighs 19 pounds, the film another 10 pounds, and I refuse to relinquish either as checked luggage since they are my livelihood. As a tour operator who specializes in photo tours, I never book my groups on any airline with a weight restriction for carry-on luggage.
