Early Wednesday morning, the thin crescent moon will sit half a degree (one moon diameter) from Venus, the brilliant planet in the morning sky. It is unusual to see the two brightest objects in the nighttime sky so close. Look low in the east from about 5:30 to 6:30 a.m.
