SEAL BEACH

Beachgoers can expect large crowds close to the pier this weekend as the newly formed professional women’s beach volleyball tour, Beach Volleyball America, stops in town.

Qualifying rounds begin at 9 a.m. Friday and tournament play continues at 9 a.m. Saturday and Sunday. Temporary stands will be set up court side for the free event, and free parking and shuttles from the Naval Weapons Station’s Liberty Gate off Seal Beach Boulevard will be available.
