About 1% of the 600,000 claims filed after the Northridge earthquake remain unsettled, according to Candysse Miller, executive director of the Insurance Information Network of California, a property and casualty insurers’ trade group. Residents still coping with a claim can visit the Web site set up by the state’s Senate Insurance Committee at https://www.insurancecomplaint.com.
